Dr. Kyle Achors understands the debilitating nature of shoulder and elbow issues and enjoys helping guide patients to recovery through nonoperative management or surgery. He performs general orthopaedic trauma surgery and specializes in conditions of the shoulder and elbow with special interests in shoulder arthroplasty and arthroscopy; elbow arthroplasty and arthroscopy; shoulder and elbow trauma; and shoulder tendon transfers.

He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at USF Health’s Florida Orthopaedic Institute, and shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Achors has contributed to several published research articles, lectures and case presentations and has received multiple awards, including USF Florida Orthopaedic Institute Seth Gasser Highest Orthopaedic In-Training Examination® (OITE) Score Award; Florida Orthopaedic Society OrthoBowl Champion; Christopher P. Phelps Award for Excellence in Anatomy; and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He volunteers as a reviewer for Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
In addition to staying current with the latest trends in shoulder and elbow surgery and related research, Dr. Achors most enjoys spending time with family and fishing. A Jacksonville, Florida, native, he married his high school sweetheart, Jillian, and they have two children.
